National Director of Sales Position in San Diego, California!!!

Title:   National Sales Director

Location:  San Diego, California

 

This is an exciting opportunity as a National Director of Sales, for a company which is the 

national leader in the development, production, and distribution of document and information management solutions for the homebuilding industry since 1999. 

 

The National Director of Sales is responsible for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all of the sales activities of the business. In this role this individual will recruit, train, motivate and lead a national sales force.  This individual will direct and coordinate activities of sales department, and assist the Chief Operating Officer in formulating and administering sales organization policies. The Director of Sales is a member of the Executive Management Team.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

?  Coaches, monitors, trains, and assists the sales staff to develop and achieve individual and Sales Team goals.

?  Manages all of the field and in house sales functions

?  Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program

?  Successfully manages and motivates in house and remote account executives to maximize sales

?  Responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company's business plan

?  Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies

?  Defines and manages the monthly and annual sales objectives for all of the sales personnel

?  Spends a significant portion of time in the field both with individual accounts and co-traveling with sales personnel, expect 50%-75% travel

?  Develops and manages sales operating budget; analyzes and controls expenditures of sales operation to conform to budgetary requirements

?  Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly

?  Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

The Director of National Sales is responsible for the development and performance of the Sales Team, to include Territory Sales Managers and administrative staff.

 

 

Requirements:



?  Bachelor?s degree or an equivalent combination of education and technical/professional experience.

?  7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years as a sales manager

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

?  Ability to educate, manage, and motivate sales staff

?  Able to manage both in-house and field sales personnel

?  Familiarity with various CRM programs

?  Strong negotiating skills and capacity

?  Strong written and verbal communication skills, and equally strong listening skills

?  Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by the ability to lead a sales force to consistently overachieve against sales goals

?  Demonstrated aggressive, persuasive, and creative problem-solving skills

?  Knowledge of real estate or the homebuilding industry is a plus, but not required.

?   Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and products.
