National Sales Manager (Job #1132)

Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for developing new channels for direct sales
Manage all aspects of new promotions from concept to implementation
Key account management with manufacturing and promotional partners
Advise Senior Director and other team members on business process development and improvement to maximize XM Subscriptions
Sustain business development and marketing communications plans to drive XM subscriber growth in direct sales channels
Plan, develop and manage event sales teams at XM affiliated events
Negotiate new agreements and contracts with new promotions and partners
Develop executive level reporting and information flow for senior management
Other duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience

BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Field or National experience in sales and/or marketing
Marketing, advertising or launch management at a major consumer company
Hands-on experience in consumer products marketing including directing launch planning, coordinating with departments for market research and developing effective marketing communications (at store, field and corporate levels) in consumer electronics other retail industries
Overall knowledge of automotive industry (at dealer, field and corporate level) and/or consumer electronics, represented by a minimum of six years experience in these industries
Strong negotiation skills and presentation abilities in achieving company goals while satisfying direct sales contractual and relationship requirements
Ability to drive direct sales project management and meet deadlines while representing XM and interacting at senior levels of partners
Experience with development of product training and merchandising programs
Experience in structuring strategic marketing partnerships and national programs to drive XM brand exposure, activations, and market share
Bias toward action
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple individual projects, see the critical path, and deliver results
Commitment to customer service principles
Customer service experience in subscription or service industry preferred

This position has no fixed supervisory responsibilities
