We are a fast-paced distributor and broker of electronic components (integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, etc?). The company was founded in February 1999 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. Our services are provided to a growing base of several hundred customers, including leading multi-national electronics manufacturers: IBM, Motorola, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Lucent Technologies, Cisco Systems, etc. In addition, Velocity serves each of the top 20 contract manufacturers: Solectron, Celestica, Jabil, Sanmina-SCI, etc.

National and International Account Manager ? ?The Position?
We are expanding our sales force by hiring National and International Account Managers. Language and cultural sales fluency are a plus. Velocity Account Managers contact manufacturers in the areas of North America, Southeast Asia, China, Eastern and Western Europe to achieve the following objectives:Conduct business conversations that uncover problems which hinder a manufacturer?s ability to efficiently produce its products. Deliver customized value-driven proposals illustrating Velocity?s abilities to enhance electronic component supply chains. Locate, procure, service and ship electronic components on behalf of our customers.
Account Managers are responsible for simultaneously establishing, servicing and growing multiple customer accounts while perpetuating Velocity?s mission, values, goals, code of business ethics, and corporate culture. In addition to servicing accounts, they also develop a sense of community and a positive atmosphere through personal contribution to the sales organization.
