Natural Gas Marketing Manager

The incumbent implements complex strategies and initiatives relative to the sale of pipeline capacity, connection of new markets and supplies; development, management, and maintenance of customer relationships; coordination of the sale of facilities, and the negotiation of OBA`s. Further, the successful candidate initiates, negotiates, and prepares complex gas transportation and other business arrangements, develops value-adding strategic initiatives relative to supply/market development and actively participates with senior management in the development, implementation and communication of the company`s strategic business plan.  The candidate in this position identifies business opportunities and resolves contractual, administrative and operational issues related to the customer group which includes producers, gas marketers, gas processors, other pipelines, LDC`s, power generators and other end users. This position requires out of town travel, sometimes on short notice.

College degree preferable in business, marketing or engineering. Advanced and/or diversified degree desirable.   Extensive knowledge of and experience with gas supply management, marketing/trading, and natural gas transportation including   (1) strong experience negotiating, structuring, and managing complex natural gas transportation transactions,  (2) strong knowledge of the western region, in particular, and a general knowledge of the overall interstate natural gas transportation grid, (3) extensive knowledge of key markets and suppliers, market trends and regulatory issues, and  (4) general knowledge of risk management tools and strategies, including application of energy derivatives, and their correlation with transportation services required.
