Fundfire Advertising Sales Manager The Fundfire Advertising Sales Manager will sell online advertising for Fundfire.com, focusing on money managers, consultants, banks and other financial institutions targeting pension plan sponsors. Additionally, he/she will pursue vendors targeting money managers and companies targeting financial advisors. He/she will be responsible for sourcing new business, renewing existing accounts, and helping advertising team members with their accounts on Fundfire, Ignites.com and other Money-Media products. Success in this position will be measured against total new Fundfire advertising sales versus established revenue goals. This position reports to the Director of Advertising Sales. This Position has 4 main areas of responsibility: 1. Online Advertising Sales Make 250 in person presentations per year, roughly 5 per week in 2007. Aggressively follow-up each presentation. Maintain and grow existing accounts. Develop a minimum of 5 new accounts in 2006. Handle all personal selling ancillaries, including letters, lists and travel. Participate in industry conferences and trade shows. Participate in creating annual media kits and sales literature. 2. Reporting, Forecasting & Budgeting Record all activity and opportunities in Salesforce. Produce monthly detailed reports on sales calls. Produce monthly detailed reports on closed sales and target accounts, including likelihood of closure. Predict accurate quarterly sales forecasts every three months. Build realistic annual advertising budget, account by account, adhering to deadlines set by management. Master Salesforce, WebTrends and M-M Ads Manager tool and use their functionality to solicit and service clients. 3. Money-Media Product Focus Constantly promote Money-Media brand and be aware of developing market and new product opportunities. Promote out-of-the-box thinking with clients. Support other sales staff by keeping an eye out for lead/list opportunities as they arise. 4. Competitive Focus Keep careful watch on competitors, their sales strategies, and client bases. Develop quick-response and longer term defensive strategies to competitive developments. Qualifications: * At least 2 years of outside sales experience. * Background/experience in financial industry. * Online ad sales experience preferred. * Clear ability and desire to work closely with marketing and editorial teams.
