Outside Business Development Associate

CITY: Tampa STATE: Florida COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
This position assists the BDR's by selling corporate products to brokers and related business establishments or individuals over the telephone by performing the following duties. Performs greater than 50% of their time in a sales capacity.

**Performs outside sales. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
**Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit loans, or talks with Brokers in person or by phone.
**Demonstrates and emphasizes WMC website features & product lines.
**Quotes interest and terms and assists in preparation of loan applications.
*Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
*Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
*Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
*Investigates and resolves customer problems.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Requires a high school diploma. Bachelor's Degree a plus.
*Excellent ability to compose effective written communication. Superior communication skills are required.
*Minimum two years of outside sales experience preferred.
*Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, company personnel and the public. Outgoing personality a major benefit.
*Works and communicates with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Committed to quality service.
*Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workload.
*Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity. Fosters commitment and team spirit.

Desired:
*Sub-prime mortgage industry experience a plus.
