 Job Description

 

Waste Management?s Southwest Florida Market Area has an immediate opening for a Outside Sales Representative located in our Market Area facility in Venice.  This position is an outside sales position that generates revenue utilizing a consultative selling and account management approach.  The position also promotes our open market roll-off services to construction customers within this territory.  This position will be responsible for covering Lee County as well as Charlotte County as the designated territory for sales.

 Maintain weekly and monthly sales reports.Develop business relationships with existing and future residential and commercial builders.Develop new customer base through cold calls and internal sales leads.Attend any WMI sponsored sales seminars throughout the Southern region.Meet or exceed all Monthly sales goals established by Market Area Sales Manager.Meet or exceed profitability levels established by Market Area Sales Manager.Participate in weekly sales conference calls and/or meetings.Actively participate in the local Homer Builder Association.Perform other duties as assigned.

 Minimum Job Requirements

 Bachelor degree in Business Administration and/or related field or a minimum of five (5) years experience in sales.Minimum of two (2) years in direct business-to-business sales, business-to-business cold calling and phone based prospecting resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments.Proficiency with computers to include Word, Excel, MAS, Proposal Master and Proposal Express.Ability to demonstrate sales, overcoming objectives and customer service skills.Possess strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently.Ability to negotiate and close both Retail and Wholesale customers.  Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customer and vendors.

 

 Preferred Job Requirements

 Work experience in sales and/or marketing.Strong knowledge of PowerPoint experience.Knowledge of the Lee County and Charlotte County marketplace.



 

Travel Percentage Required:  85%
