Outside Sales Representative - Construction Equipment Rental

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions in our San Antonio, TX locations:

 

Outside Sales Representative

 BASIC PURPOSE

 

Responsible for generating business by knowing the needs of our customers, NationsRent products and services, and ensuring that new/existing customer accounts receive excellent service.  Develop a positive image of NationsRent as an aggressive, competitive, world-class construction equipment rental firm.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.  Acquire new customers, rentals and sales within assigned territories.

2.  Build long-term relationships with prospects and current accounts by managing, negotiating and interfacing with customers.

3.  Assist customers in the selection and rental of their equipment needs.  Provide alternative equipment suggestions to customers based upon information obtained.  Instruct customers on equipment capabilities and operation.

4.  Resolve problems, concerns and issues with customers in a timely manner.

5.  Follow up on sales leads and existing rentals.

6.  Communicate delivery and pick-up orders to customers and coordinate with inside sales representatives.

7.  Organize and distribute sales aids and promotional material.

8.  Work closely with store employees and District Sales Manager to accomplish the goals of NationsRent and meet customer needs.

9.  Maintain detailed and accurate sales records.  Receive and process Rental Contracts.  Process expenses.

10. Attend store and safety meetings.

11. Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

12. Perform other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION

 

High School Education or G.E.D.

 EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

 

3 to 5 years outside sales experience renting heavy equipment required.

1 to 3 years of sales and customer relation's experience.

Must know construction process.

Ability to effectively communicate.

Able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel.
