Pharmaceutical Ophthalmology Specialty Sales Representative

Our client is a specialty pharmaceutical division of a multi-divisional healthcare manufacturer and a leader in their segments of the industry. They have asked us to locate a new sales representative to sell their prescription medicines to Ophthalmologists and Optometrists in the Inland Empire including Ontario, Pomona, Chino, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside and Corona to San Bernardino and Palm Springs, California. This is a pure specialty position in an existing territory with a strong account base already in place.

The candidate we seek will have a 4 year degree and 2 or more years sales experience with a documented track record of success, as evidenced by stack rankings, awards and commendations. Pharmaceutical sales experience is highly preferred and needed to qualify for the upper end of the salary range; however, it is not absolutely required. Therefore candidates with strong Business-to-Business or other similar direct outside sales experience will also be considered and should definitely apply.

The successful candidate can expect to earn at least $80-100K and possibly more the first year based on a starting salary of $60-80K (depending upon experience) plus a bonus plan that will add $20K at goal, but could be even higher based on personal performance. In addition, you will receive a company car, an excellent benefit package, and high visibility for advancement to sales management.
