Pharmaceutical Specialty District Sales Manager

Our client is a specialty pharmaceutical division of a multi-divisional healthcare manufacturer and a leader in their segments of the industry. They have asked us to locate a new District Sales Manager to direct the efforts of a team of sales representatives who sell their prescription products to specialist physicians in Upstate New York and the state of Connecticut. This is an existing district with a strong team of experienced sales reps already in place.

The candidate we seek will have a 4 year degree and 2 or more years sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a documented track record of success, as evidenced by stack rankings, awards and commendations. Specialty Pharmaceutical experience is helpful; however, it is not absolutely required, therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for a sales manager in Primary Care Pharmaceuticals to move up to a pure specialty position.

The successful candidate can expect to earn at least $121-155K and possibly more the first year based on a starting salary of $86-120K (depending upon experience) plus a bonus plan that will add $35K at goal, but could be even higher based on personal performance. In addition, you will receive a company car, an excellent benefit package, and high visibility for advancement to senior levels of corporate management.
