Power Distribution Systems Business Manager

The successful candidate will work in a team environment within the Global Industrial and Commercial (GIC) group of Tyco Electronics. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a solid understanding of supplier evaluation, development, and management. The selected candidate will be responsible for New Business Development and is tasked with the growth of our established systems/subsystems product portfolio and providing value added services to the aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 Systems Integrators. In this position, the selected candidate will work closely with existing engineering / program managers and supporting staff for growth of the Tyco Electronics Power Management business.

Minimum qualifications include:
-BSEE/ME degree.
-10 or more years of experience in business development, program management, and product design / applications of Electrical Power Distribution and Management systems for aerospace applications.
-Experience with power distribution control systems and architecture as related to safety, redundancy, and load management.
-Possess an in-depth understanding of the performance expectations and specifications for aerospace power generation equipment (IDG, PMG, and VSCF) and their required electronic control units.
-Prior working experience in 28VDC, 115VAC, and 270VDC aerospace primary and secondary power distribution systems.
-Prior experience in the specification, application, and installation of power distribution panels, contactors, relays, SSRs, SSPCs, and the various voltage/current monitors that are utilized in aerospace power distribution.
-Prior experience in aircraft wiring selection and installation would be of benefit.
