RESEARCH SURVEY SPECIALIST


 


Reuters is looking for a Survey Specialist to help develop a new global research product targeted toward institutional investors and hedge fund managers.  The product will provide proprietary information and insights into factors driving the economics of companies and sectors.  The desired candidate should have an extensive knowledge of the creation, implementation and interpretation of surveys, with an understanding of the investment process a plus.  Candidate should have a reputation for originality and integrity, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.


 


Key Responsibilities:

Ownership for writing, analyzing and implementing RPR surveys across multiple industries (Health Care, Technology, Consumer, etc) targeted toward investment professionals (predominantly hedge funds and large mutual funds)
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting survey results.
Coordinate integration of survey information into our desktop products.
Coordinate all product build requirements.
Research third party content providers and make implementation recommendations.
Designing, implementing and communicating the overall survey strategy and plan which clearly articulates the go to market plan, pricing, positioning, rationalization and campaign plans.
Extensive liaison with internal (e.g. other business division, operations & technology and channel) and external clients to define and prioritize propositions and marketing plan.
Produce a “Product Positioning Plan”, which articulates the roadmap and integration activities necessary to achieve the project’s strategic objectives, whilst at the same time being cognizant of other company strategies and objectives. (e.g. firm wide simplification)
Gather and incorporate feedback and issues into planning and implementation stages.
Proactively monitor trends, business needs and incorporate feedback into product.
Identify and resolve or escalate any issues impacting successful implementation.


 


JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


 

Extensive survey and analysis experience, including developing strategic marketing plans and executing against those plans (campaign methodologies, processes)
Knowledge of financial research and investment process a plus.
Strong written, verbal, presentational and negotiation skills
Strong intellect and ability to deal with complex situations
Ability to operate and influence at a senior level within Reuters, and develop customer relationships
Significant creativity and innovation with a focus on delivering results
