Summary of Position:

 

American Insulated Wire Corp. has an exciting opening for a This position is responsible for the sales and profitability of a product family. You will be accountable for ensuring that monthly sales forecasts, in both dollars and units, are met in accordance with the company sales plan, directing marketing strategies, implementing pricing levels, managing inventory levels and product family management. This position provides leadership to the organization to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and the achievement of departmental goals. 

Major Functions:

 

?  Interfaces with regional sales managers, reps and inside sales team in quoting both stock and project business for the product family.

 Maximizes profitability by reviewing competitive pricing and products and by reviewing cost information for cost reduction opportunities.

 

?  Works closely with engineering and manufacturing team for quotes on special construction of wire and cable as well as new product development.

 Coordinates monthly forecast with the sales team in the field and production control at the plant.

 Travels nationally in calling on distributors.  Accountable for product training in the field with the reps.

 Accountable for driving all marketing and promotional programs for the product families by collaborating with the reps.

 Responsible for managing inventories in accordance with company objectives.

 Develops, reviews and revises cord set product pricing and establishes marketing strategy.

 Manages, negotiates and maintains all customer contracts, programs and rebates.

 Works with purchasing in the coordination of offshore purchases of finished goods.

 Interfaces with engineering and manufacturing team for quotes and special construction cord sets and new product development.

 

 

Requirements:

 

A Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering, along with 5 to 10 years experience in Sales and Marketing along with strong leadership and communications skills are required. Electrical Manufacturing knowledge is a strong plus.
