Product Specialist - Medical Membrane Technologies

W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc, Medical Membrane Technologies (MMT) Team is looking for a Product Specialist to help us continue to grow our business. The MMT team develops, manufactures, and markets innovative materials and components for disposable venting and filtration applications in the medical device industry.
Responsibilities include:
Ultimate responsibility for global product profitability, including pricing, strategy and forecasting as well as the fitness for use of our product.
Provide technical and market knowledge and support to global sales team.
Grow the business through matching customer requirements with Gore capabilities through good understanding of application requirements and Gore's materials; product forms, manufacturing techniques
Initiate, screen, prioritize and participate in new product development, including fielding new product ideas from potential customers. Some lab work as appropriate.
Interact with manufacturing team to ensure customer needs are met cost effectively.
Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
Minimum BS in engineering or science (CHE, ME, Chemistry, Biology...), MBA preferred.
At least five years experience, demonstrating:
Proven ability to develop and implement a product and/or business plan
Ability to determine the value of a product and/or opportunity.
Ability to understand and communicate technical ideas and concepts
Ability to meet goals and objectives within a global team environment.
Ability to make decisions using good judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated capability to drive projects to completion
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Ability to travel globally up to 25% of the time
Desired:
Medical application knowledge
Venting and filtration and sterile barrier knowledge
Medical Device design experience.
Demonstrated technical abilities.
Familiarity with GMP requirements and regulatory issues.
Experience with business planning and business development.
