Description:
Position Summary:
The Pulp and Paper Process Sales Consultant is responsible for initiating and leading programs to drive business growth for Pulp & Paper Process Control related products & services within the assigned geographic area. Major activities include serving as the lead salesperson for primary assigned products/solutions, sales account planning and market analysis. Professional and technical competencies are critical so as to be viewed as a leader in the assigned market. You will be responsible for initiating and implementing business growth for Process products/solutions within the assigned geographic area.
The person shall work at the direction of the local management team to develop and implement strategies resulting in the significant booking of Process Solutions orders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
o Primary sales/process application resource to develop Automation/Process Solutions opportunities at the Seattle-Portland Branch Paper accounts
o Building a multi million dollar Process sales funnel for the branch
o Tightly coordinate with the local geographic account sales person, technical and proposal resources
o Establishes appropriate CXO/Mill Manager/VP/Director level relationships within the customer base
o Leads sales calls to penetrate and win at key Branch Target accounts
o Qualifies customer opportunities
o Engages the Rockwell Automation account team to plan for and win opportunities
o Leads a technical engagement team for identified opportunities
o Obtains agreements and prices to support the proposal effort
o Obtains management approvals for bid investment, bid approval, contract T&Cs and pricing
o Supports customer/internal program reviews
o Provides application knowledge and industry expertise
o Stays abreast of industry activities and trends
o Participate in regional industry associations, conferences, societies etc.
o Communicates to the Industry Vertical Teams on an account by account basis
o Keep abreast of new products and services necessary to meet customer needs

Tracking Requirements:
Maintain an active project list in targeted and developing Accounts. Utilizing the Sales Siebel CRM tool for tracking projects.
Education Required:
Bachelor Degree in engineering or other related technical field or equivalent experience. MBA preferred but not required.

Experience:
The candidate should be an experienced process industry / pulp and paper industry sales resource with over 10 years of large project solutions sales experience. Key attributes would be a native solutions sales orientation, senior level sales ability, and credibility within the domain of the pulp and paper market. This includes process instrumentation, distributed controls, process controls and optimizing pulp and paper complex processes.
