Regional Account Manager

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for pipeline visibility by making direct contact with all aligned sales leads. The RAM assists the Business Partner in preparing Pipeline Management and Forecasting reports.  The outcome measurement is to maximize revenue through the entire region and achieve a minimum 15% year over year product revenue growth, with a primary focus on Sage Timberline Office Business Partner new account sales.

 

Essential Functions

?  Meet all goals and objectives and meet or exceed quota.

?  Maximize revenue through calling Sage Timberline Office aligned leads and Business Partner registered leads.  Maintain responsibility for accurately validating and quantifying revenue within 2 weeks of partner referral, calling on behalf of the software publisher to accomplish three goals: to validate the lead, ensuring proper follow up by the partner is taking place to the prospects? satisfaction, and addressing any outstanding questions or issues they may have; to quantify the aligned lead in net software value to Sage Software within a time frame.

?  Regularly update and maintain Pipeline Management and Forecasting system.  In the weekly revenue meetings, submit an accurate 30 day forecast of software license fee revenue from assigned territory and Business Partners.

?  Work with Sage Timberline Office Business Partners and Industry Sales Managers to identify new revenue opportunities. Report any trends and market observations to sales management.

?  Understand the philosophies, policy procedures, programs and product offerings of Sage Software.  Be able to accurately relate these internally and externally.  Develop and maintain an understanding of the value, uses, features and capabilities of the products that Sage Software markets.  Understand the industry issues in the markets we serve.  Be knowledgeable of SageTimberline Office, upgrades and new product launches, presenting its value proposition as it addresses the industry issues.

?  Assist all Sage Mid-market regional partners and any business unit in the region by being knowledgeable of all Sage Software Products availability, the Cross Product Referral Program, and Sage Partner Advantage Programs.

?  Effectively work as a team with the sales staff to identify new product revenue opportunities and migration opportunities to maximize revenue and ensure high level of customer (both partner and end-user client) satisfaction.  This includes holding team conference calls to communicate and update each other regarding account development and to create key strategies to maximize revenue.

 

Qualifications:

?  A high school diploma or equivalent, some college course work and a minimum of five years of sales experience (preferably in the computer industry), is required.

?  A Bachelors Degree in business administration or marketing is preferred. 

?  Thorough knowledge of the construction and real estate industries and related software is strongly desired. 

?  Able to successfully complete sales and product training.

?  Ability to contact and work with individuals inside and outside the Company.

?  Ability to initiate ideas and develop recommendations at an upper management level. 

?  Problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills required.

?  Must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to follow through on commitments, and the ability to balance multiple tasks.

?  Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers in a professional manner.
