Position title: Regional Admissions Representative
Unit and location:Residential Campus in Ottawa, Kansas;
Assigned to Denver, Colorado territory
(position resides in Denver)
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Job Summary
This position is responsible for successful achievement of recruitment goals for prospective students within an established territory. A strong commitment to following established admissions processes and working within the University?s admissions policies and guidelines is mandatory. This position requires an energetic, hardworking individual with excellent communication and time management skills. The Regional Admissions Representative will regularly exercise discretion and judgment within their assigned territory to effectively achieve established weekly and annual performance goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Meet or exceed territory goals through performing specific recruiting activities that promotes Ottawa University and attract prospective students.
? Represent Ottawa University at events such as career and education fairs and other area organizations. Schedule and conduct presentations with high schools and community colleges within assigned territory to generate interest. Networking with existing leads to generate referrals.
? Contact prospective students via telephone and e-mail to schedule an appointment to further discuss the benefits of attending Ottawa University. The leads are individuals who have indicated an interested in attending Ottawa and are generated from events and presentations, direct mail and other advertising and recruiting activities.
? Effectively manage your time and assigned territory to effectively and efficiently achieve goals.
? Consistently and accurately provide information, data entry and reporting as required by University policy and process.
? Commitment to and enthusiasm for the University and its Mission; a clear understanding of and a commitment to the small Christ-centered Liberal Arts environment; a sincere interest in working with prospective students and their families offering a personalized, enthusiastic and comprehensive service through the recruiting process.
? Maintain regular and consistent contact with applicants and prospective students. Offer and encourage assistance and information concerning Ottawa University and the enrollment process.
? Provide leadership to those with whom you work through your conduct, attitude, and professionalism. Understand the University?s policies and procedures and exercise judgment accordingly. Represent the University to faculty, staff, students, and external vendors in a way that reflects well on the University.
? Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the above duties. May also perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor?s degree required.
Experience: Two to four years of successful experience in college admissions, sales or a related position.

? Proven experience exercising initiative, decision-making, and self-discipline.
