Regional Retail Sales Manager (WHOLESALE)

Position Description:

Territory is the mid-west region including: Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Indianapolis and Ohio. Must be able to travel by car/plane. Home base preferred in Chicago.
Achieve or Exceed Sales Goal by executing against all key initiatives
Preparation and Presentation skills are an asset - Required to present at two wholesale meetings per year
In-field training ? Speak to store managers/visual/ops managers as well as work with and train approximately 14 account coordinators (in-field part time merchandisers) reporting to you.
Must be able to negotiate for prime space and location within the department stores.
Organization and communication - Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with Godiva management, the field and account management. Being organized is very important.
Must be pro-active in looking for opportunities within each account?an ?out of the box? thinker.
Ability to review door penetration and mall analysis along with store by store retails for discussion with in-store and personnel.

? Field Work With, Meetings - 12 days
? Office/Admin ? 8 days
Must be able to hire and train new account coordinators
? Checklist with progress after 60 days
? Assist National Retail Sales Manager with developing Training programs and special projects
Prepare and deliver annual evaluations for account coordinators within the region (solicit input from National Retail Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Account Executives
Must be able to meet required report deadlines and use effective time management.

MUST HAVE POSITIVE PEOPLE SKILLS ? Outgoing, professional, work well independently, manage, train and develop account coordinators. Retail experience of 5 years+ with merchandising experience. Will manage approx. 14 part time merchandisers (account coordinators).
