Regional Sales Director (Toronto, Chicago, New York, South Central)

Job Title:   Sales Director

Department: Sales

Reports To:   VP/GM Americas Sales Operations

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the Company?s annual revenue and booking quota for assigned territory. Develops sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging third party relationships. Responsible for sales account management and customer satisfaction.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

?  Consistently negotiates and closes new business.

?  Develops and maintains an effective sales plan for assigned territory.

?  Develops strategies to generate cost effective sales leads.

?  Properly forecasts monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for assigned territory.

?  Documents all sales contacts and activities in Dexterra?s Salesforce.com sales application.

?  Effectively demonstrates and presents Dexterra?s Enterprise Mobility Solution.

?  Consistently maintains a reasonable number of new weekly face-to-face prospect meetings.

?  Effectively demonstrates competitive analysis of Dexterra?s top 5 competitors.

?  Develops sales strategies that link prospect?s business drivers to Dexterra?s Enterprise Mobility Solution.

?  Develops and maintains a team approach with Dexterra regional and corporate employees.

?  Develops and maintains a strong relationship with alliance partners in assigned territory.

?  Provides constant feedback to Sales management on the territory environment.

?  Accurately qualifies and prepares Pre-Sales Consultants and Services staff for customer demonstrations and presentations.

?  Shares input with other departments in preparing sales materials and technical publications.

?  Complies with all company policies and procedures.

?  Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

?  Bachelors Degree in a business or technical related area of study from an accredited college or university.

?  Eight plus years experience consistently exceeding revenue goals in a direct sales and/or sales management position.

?  Five plus years successful experience selling software products.

?  Successful experience identifying, qualifying, and closing new business.

?  Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales, and marketing plans.

?  Demonstrated knowledge of software direct and reseller sales channels.

?  Strong knowledge of industry mobility and CRM products.

?  Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue.

?  Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate complex contracts.

?  Strong ability to create sales presentation messages, positioning statements, and other sales collateral.

?  Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve goals with minimal supervision.

?  Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

?  Flexibility in work schedule and the ability to travel is required.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

?  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

?  Professional and articulate with a demonstrated ability to actively listen and respond to questions from customers in a manner that creates understanding.

?  Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts, proposals, and other sales related documents. 

?  Successful experience creating and presenting sales programs to a diverse audience.

?  Demonstrated ability to compose persuasive documents and presentations on sales related topics to top management, product teams, and customers.

 

 COMPUTER SKILLS:

?  Demonstrated ability to utilize Internet Resources.

?  Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a Windows environment, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.  MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other related software programs preferred.

?  High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, operate a personal computer, visually inspect forms, conduct oral communication via telephone and in person, retrieve and return files in storage cabinets, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
