Barden Homes, a regionally recognized, fast growing, distinguished 98-year old company with 50 years experience designing/supplying custom panelized Residential, Commercial, and Church buildings, is seeking a high-powered Regional Sales Management professional to run our Saginaw/Flint and Northern Michigan Territory, which includes the surrounding counties.
Barden is a leader in the Panelized Home Industry, and needs an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our Residential and Commercial Development Division. We were founded in 1909 and have a terrific history of supplying affordable housing. We are a multi-million dollar a year company and are one of the Northeast?s leading supplier of custom precision-designed homes, churches and commercial buildings. The company markets through a network of over 275 Independent Dealers, which operates and ships throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest. The Independent Dealers work with the homeowners, businesses and associations to provide support and guidance in scheduling and managing subcontractors. Construction financing, as well as permanent mortgages are available to qualified buyers.
Responsibilities
The Regional Manager is responsible for managing the assigned territory to defined sales activities, revenue, margin and market penetration goals. You will be responsible for proactively identifying, recruiting, developing, establishing and supporting a network of independent dealers to sell/provide custom precision-designed homes, churches and commercial buildings. The applicant must be able to work independently to support the sales goals, and will be responsible for achieving the objectives in the region, in addition to the training and mentoring our dealer network. Responsibilities will thus include but not be limited to managing and recruiting a network of independent dealers, and their territories sales and growth.
Requirements
Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, self-starting and an excellent communicator with some combination of experience in Outside Regional Sales, Real Estate, Residential & Commercial building, recruiting, and training - and will require aggressive travel within the region. Applicant must also have a proven record of new account generation and experience in field sales and management, and have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience or the equivalent. This position requires five plus years of senior level sales or project management excellence, in addition to three plus years of dealer development experience. Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power point) and web based tools a must, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
