Retail Account Manager- San Francisco

Simmons Bedding Company, maker of the world famous Beautyrest mattress, is actively recruiting for a part-time Retail Account Manager for the San Francisco, East Bay region.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Retail Account Manager is the key store door interface between the customer and Simmons in a geographic region. Success will be measured by the RSA competencies improvement, attainment of established coverage goals and store door sales increase.

? Interacts with the Sales Account Managers to understand training needs of customers and provide feedback on store status.

? Manage appropriate account coverage. Build positive working relationships with the entire retail floor sales staff and their management through excellent service and attention.

? Present and effectively communicate dealer tailored training programs, by educating retail floor sales staff on the advantages and benefits of Simmons products, our dedication to Better Sleep and how to sell these benefits to the consumers. Use technology to train RSA?s ? distance training.

? Wear multiple hats and train according to the needs of the customer (e.g., comfort selling, feature selling etc.).

? Maintain client confidentiality.

? Understand all of the features of the Simmons products; key messages.

? Increase market share within accounts through better selling, consuming floor space, superior customer service and retail sales training.

? Educate the retail principles on the profit implications of selling Simmons Company products.

? Coordinate deliveries and returns with retailer?s warehouse in a timely fashion

? Ensure that the Simmons Company products and marketing message is positively represented in terms of total floor space, point of sale, condition of the floor samples and location. Point of sale material positioning.

? Observe competition impact and strategy deployment in the market and communicate observations to the RSM.

? Handle consumer complaint issues and customer returns.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor?s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 -3 years of hands on Sales experience or training. Demonstration of time management and project management skills. Effectively communicate marketing message and deliver presentations. Interpret verbal and non-verbal communication messages and active listening skills. Conflict resolution skills. Must be able to demonstrate team building skills and function within a team environment. Proficient in: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
