JOB SUMMARY:
The Flagship Store Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability in an effort to exceed the established sales revenue goals. In the pursuit of this effort, the successful manager will be able to: recruit, hire, train and develop a "sales" oriented team; provide on the floor sales leadership, coaching and discipline in support of sales associate selling standards (ASAP selling) ensure that all visual presentation and operational requirements are at standards throughout the store; as well as successfully manage and execute themed events and store marketing.
SCOPE:
The Flagship Store Sales Manager is to provide direction and leadership to the sales associates; drive sales & profitability; provide exemplary guest service, ensure visual presentation and operational standards to build Yankee sales and brand image; meet or exceed sales and profitability goals; recruit, coach and develop sales associates.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years proven retail management experience (big box preferred) with increasing responsibility required. High school diploma or equivalent, 2 to 4 (preferably) years of college. Experience hiring, training and developing sales staff is necessary.Flexibility in management style, with the ability to act as leader, diplomat, coach, counselor, trainer, investigator, and facilitator depending upon the specific situation. Proven record of achieving and maintaining successful sales goals.Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.Ability to delegate effectively with appropriate follow-up.Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated computer skills. Demonstrated understanding of high quality service techniques and philosophy, including, customer service, problem/complaint resolution, and clear ability to effectively perform and train these tasks in a retail setting.
SALARY STRUCTURE:
Non-Exempt Position: M1
HOURS:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM ? 5:00 PM
Flexibility in work schedule is required to work any/all shifts as operational need warrants, for possible off-schedule work, travel, and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need.
