Retail Sales Representative

Louis F. Leeper Company is a leader in the consumer packaged goods industry, providing sales, marketing, category management, and retail services to manufacturers in a variety of trade channels such as grocery and mass merchandise.

 

Louis F. Leeper has an immediate opening for the Unilever Dedicated Retail Team in Athens, Ohio.

 

College degree is preferred or equivalent experience.

Candidate must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation with insurance and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

 

Job Purpose:

Serves customers by selling products; meeting customer needs.



Duties:
Services existing accounts and obtaining orders.

 
Basic computer skills a must. Pocket PPC preferred.

Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.

Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of Grocery/Mass stores.

Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.


Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, merchandising techniques, etc.


Recommends changes in service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.


Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.


Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.


Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
