Title: Retirement Counselor, Company: Fidelity Investments Tax Exempt Services Company(FITSCo)
Reports to: Director, Retirement Counselors

Fidelity Investments Tax-Exempt Services Company (FITSCo) markets, sells, and services retirement plans for the non-profit and government market. FITSCo is one of the nation's top providers of 403(b)/401(a) retirement savings plans to colleges and universities, healthcare institutions, foundations and charitable organizations, state agencies and local governments.

Under direction of a Relationship Manager and the Director of Retirement Counselors, you will be based out of your home office covering the San Francisco area, with travel ranging from 60% to 100% in support of your designated clients. You will be responsible for the delivery of financial and retirement education and other strategic communications programs based on client and FITSCo goals. Your objective is to educate retirement clients and plan participants in their retirement plan(s) and enroll new participants. You will work with your clients, Relationship Managers, and Communications Assistants to schedule events, coordinate material production, and deliver workshops. Along the way we'll also look to you for the following:

o Providing information regarding workshops to evaluate and measure effectiveness of communication programs
o Identifying issues with the clients which may put the FITSCo relationship at risk a
o Maintaining technical expertise, including retirement industry, investment industry, FITSCo recordkeeping system, and FITSCo competitors
o Participation in the development of new programs as necessary
o Identifying change in sales opportunity or other client issue impacting profitability
o Escalation of client issues uncovered on client visits




o Viable candidates will have a college education and at least 4 years investment industry experience with good knowledge of defined contribution plans. A strong understanding of FITSCo's competition in the non-profit market is a plus. You must have your Series 6 (7 preferred) and 63 licenses and be willing to travel at least 60% of time — it may be as much as 100%.


Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of:
o FITSCo retirement products including: 403(b), 401(a), 401(k), 457
o Fidelity/FITSCo investment products available to retirement clients including: mutual funds, annuity products, managed income products
o stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and a general knowledge of the economy
oThe ability to speak and read the Spanish language fluently is a plus


Success in this position hinges on strong oral communications and presentation skills. You will be the face of Fidelity to many of our investors and you will be evaluated on this basis.
