SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

Summary Description:

This position is responsible for the management of all assigned accounts within a designated territory, and for the development of profitable new customer business within the territory. This position is further responsible for the education and development of customer interest in additional Fleetsource products and services through the use of a sensible territory management sales process.  This process will include acquiring the necessary product knowledge to successfully relate to customers, developing detailed, targeted sales plans; analyzing profitability of accounts and developing account management programs and practices designed to maximize sales and profitability; and obtaining full knowledge of the competitive influences and risks within each account. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prospecting for new business, making cold and warm calls to potential clients, and developing a successful rapport and working relationship with customer base.

 

Job Responsibilities Include:Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customersSuccessfully retain, manage and develop existing customers base Develop and follow up on leads designed to attract new customer accountsSuccessfully communicate to customers regarding products, pricing and services availableDevelop detailed understanding of pricing structure and profitability for all accounts and tailor account management practices accordinglyResolve any customer concerns in a positive and constructive manner Develop detailed short- and long-term sales plans and monitor attainment of these targetsDevelop and utilize appropriate marketing materials necessary to support sales effortsMonitor and maintain awareness and understanding of marketing trends, as well as customer and competitor activitiesProvide necessary support to other internal personnel and departments as needed

 

Experience, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)Highly organized, with ability to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be able to develop and successfully implement detailed personal marketing concepts and business plansAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentMust be flexible and able to handle multiple projects and changing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to work successfully with individuals at all levels of the corporate structureMust be able to function as part of a larger team and assimilate efforts in overall sales and marketing plansMust be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and possess superior documentation skillsKnowledge of the diesel and/or heavy duty parts aftermarket industry a plusMust possess valid driver?s license

Educational Requirement:College degree with course work in Business and/or Marketing preferredMinimum of two to five years professional experience requiredDemonstrated history of sales excellence (quota achievement) and business growth and development in prior sales position is desirable
