SALES ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE for chemical toll manufacturing to new and established accounts

This is an excellent opportunity for the experienced sales professional in the chemical industry. A person with a history of client contacts in chemical, petrochemical, and industrial plants is the primary focus of our candidate search.  You will also enjoy an open, informal atmosphere where people are recognized and rewarded for individual effort and initiative. 

 

Primary duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the sales and marketing of production and manufacturing services to management representatives and technical personnel of existing and new clients in the chemical plant sector.
Develop and present bid proposals to clients relating to toll production costs and scheduling.
Must be able to recognize an appropriate ?fit? for batch manufacturing of various products with existing production process facilities.
Maintain customer relationships.
Coordinate delivery of finished product.
Maintain knowledge of current practices in operation and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities as well as customers (when necessary).
Research and acquire knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of competitor?s products.
Assist in preparation of biannual sales forecasts and budgets.
Travel requirements?30% to 40%


Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years direct Sales experience in Chemical Industry.
Previous well-established and strong relationships with management representatives across the country in the Chemical Plant industry.
Strong Chemistry knowledge (BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering a big Plus).
Experience with Microsoft Office.
30% to 40% out-of-town travel required.
