Simons Professional Services is a growing Southside Indianapolis based accounting and consulting firm that focuses on helping entrepreneurial companies reach their business goals.  Our progressive clients desire more than just accounting and tax services.  We take pride in providing a full range of value-added strategic business planning, part-time CFO/Controller services, and bookkeeping.  Our work environment is interesting, challenging, and a true learning experience.  We are seeking a special individual who will fit this position and become an important member of our exceptional team. 



RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Business Development Specialist, you will join our team of energetic professionals that include CPAs, Accountants, Consultants and Administrative Team Members.  Your ability to effectively work in our fast paced environment while performing a broad spectrum of business development duties is essential. Your expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite including Publisher and Power Point is important.  Your creative skills, positive personality, strong desire to succeed and ability to bring in qualified prospects and build relationships are critical. 

 

Key responsibilities include: Internal/Client, External/Public and Referral/Resource Marketing and Development ? Build relationships with our current clientele, the general public, and referral/resource entities and perform all aspects of sales and marketing to these sources including making calls, visits, plan lunches, administer surveys, assist with design and preparation of all direct mail promotions, assist with updating and maintaining our website, assist with weekly, monthly and annual promotional projects, take part in various organizations and networking groups, research additional business development techniques and ideas for all areas of the firm.Administration and Team Utilization ? Assist with preparation of articles for various publications, motivate team members to become involved in activities to help increase sales and develop the firm, communicate in an enthusiastic and positive manner and keep the team informed and excited about growth opportunities and progress, utilize all firm resources, work with and update marketing statistics, and research additional techniques and ideas for these areas.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 3 years of sales/business development experience.  Past experience in sales for a public accounting environment is a plus!Prefer a Bachelor?s Degree in marketing, but will consider equivalent experience.Strong ability to effectively and positively communicate with clients, general public and team members.  Creative design and technical skills a major plus!Ability to make unannounced calls and visits with an excited and positive attitude.Self motivated with a positive attitude and strong desire to succeed.Hard working team player who can easily adapt to the changing needs of the firm.Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point.Ability to work routine hours as well as the extra time necessary to attend network and promotional events.Strong desire to learn and excel!
