LOCATION: 1. Baltimore

COMPENSATION: A base salary, lucrative commission structure and a comprehensive benefits package are provided. Final compensation will be dependent on the successful candidate?s background and experience level.
THE COMPANY: Our client is part of a large European company, and it has been operating for over 40 years. The US business unit has been operational since 1998, and anticipates aggressive growth. With a commitment to expanding its business supporting the construction market, our client requires two Senior Sales Directors, to focus on developing the local and surrounding markets of New Jersey/New York and Baltimore/Washington D.C.
THE MANDATE: The successful candidates will be experienced sales professionals with over 10 years experience in selling into the General Contractor arena. The scope of the sale could include technical services, labor, direct sales or rental of form works, or other construction equipment, etc. The successful candidates should have specific knowledge of the construction opportunities within the immediate region and the ability to propose a full range of solutions for a client. They will need to have an understanding of delivering both gross sales revenue and profitable margin business.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILIES:
Prospecting and identifying opportunities within the local and surrounding construction market, to bid on projects for equipment and services.
Consulting with clients to advise on products and solutions.
Preparing estimates, bids and negotiating with clients to guarantee profitable margin from a contract.
Coordinating with engineering to ensure that proper equipment and service is guaranteed in order to deliver the work according to specifications.
Coordinating the orders with the warehouse to ensure that the materials arrive according to client needs and the construction schedule.
Client management to ensure that the work contracted is successfully delivered, and a high degree of customer satisfaction is achieved.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Technology or other related area.
10+ years of demonstrated success in sales into the General Contractor market.
Experience in growing, developing and managing accounts, with a goal to towards larger and more profitable revenues.
Experience in consultative sales, with the ability to understand specific technical construction requirements, and to offer technical recommendations and solutions.
Technical knowledge of construction and equipment.
