SR Account Executive

This great position is responsible for generating new customers and monthly revenue in the Mid Market (business customer spend $1,000 to $10,000) segment for McLeodUSA.

We are seeking individuals who are highly self-confident, have a positive outlook and have a very strong commitment to succeed in a competitive market environment with an expressed need to achieve personal financial goals.

An SAE has all the skills required to successfully meet or exceed the monthly revenue quota of $3800. SAE skills include prospecting, telemarketing and cold calling appointment setting skills; a solution selling orientation; data gathering, proposal generation, and presentation skills; and closing and the administrative skills to complete and submit orders.

Professionalism, integrity, organization, administration and the ability to prioritize activities that lead to sales success are prerequisites for the position. An SAE has an assigned territory and operates in a success based, high activity model that has expectations that need to be meet on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Position Summary:

Sales Acquisition encompasses those positions typically engaged in the direct sale of equipment and/or telecom and data services to business and/or residential customers.

Sales Acquisition positions typically include those involved with outside sales or those for which the primary activity is sales prospecting either through direct phone sales or on-site customer visits.

Experience:

2-4 years of quantifiable, successful, direct sales experience in a fast-paced, competitive selling environment. Knowledge in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Experience selling a broad range of integrated voice and data products is required, preferably in large markets.

Must have the demonstrated ability to build relationships through open customer communications/consulting. Must a demonstrated ability to negotiate contractual agreements related to the sale of complex telecommunications products.

Must have an ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with all employees and support departments in a team-oriented manner. Must have the ability to deliver effective customer presentations Prior sales training.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in business or 4 years equivalent experience.
