Position Summary:
The Safety Sales Representative sells Fisher Safety?s products and services by interacting with established customers and developing new business opportunities. The Safety Sales Representative also supports sales management plans by maintaining effective customer relations and assuring continued market penetration and profitability by making in-depth calls to end users to achieve sales objectives, implementing customer-specific action plans, working with purchasing and safety management to perform hazard assessments, making product recommendations, providing product training with regard to occupational health and safety equipment and resolving customer service-related issues (i.e. pricing and product availability). The Safety Sales Representative also introduces new products and services to the accounts, develops new customers and performs other tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager.

Required Skills:
Qualified candidates will possess a background in industrial distribution (preferably safety products) and have a Bachelor?s Degree in a Science or Business along with relevant, industry-specific experience (including at least two years of sales). Candidates must also have strong oral and written communication skills, goal and objective setting skills, good time and territory management skills and excellent selling skills. You should also be assertive, proactive and cost conscious and have the ability to gather, analyze and utilize relevant factors and/or restrictions. Candidates must be able to think creatively and develop new ideas, products, solutions, etc. The ability to make and implement decisions consistent with organizational goals and to interpret measurement systems and report quantitative data is also required.
