Sales Account manager

Telecommunications ? Sales Account Manager

 

LightSpeed Networks Inc., dba ?LS Networks? is a privately held inter-exchange (IXC) network services provider and competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), is looking for a hungry and experienced sales person.  The position is based in Portland, Oregon.  

 

Summary

 

Responsible for prospecting and developing sales leads, traveling frequently to contact potential customers and closing sales.  Maintains contact throughout the pre/post-sales and installation process to insure a smooth service delivery to the customer.  Prospects/Manages commercial accounts and keeps positive relationships with clients to recognize and provide additional service needs.

 

Job Requirements


The ideal candidate for the Account Manager position will have the following qualifications:

 Three plus years of telecommunications business-to-business experience Strong proven sales skills Prior experience selling multi-site (Ethernet or Frame), dedicated IP services, and SONET Completes account planning for assigned customers, including development of account profiles and account positioning strategy; customer needs analysis; sales opportunity developments; preparation of service improvement plans; and creation of long-range account management strategies. Conducts proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, applications development, proposal presentation, order negotiation and post-sales service requirements.Strong rolodex of business contacts in OregonStrong oral and written communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Highly motivated & energetic self-starter who works well in a fast-paced environment

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal skills required. Technical skills related to network and transmission design and local access services. Requires product knowledge of both networking services, and associated end-user and carrier applications. Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes. Working knowledge of general marketing principle tools and processes. Must possess skills necessary for decision making and customer retention.Proven negotiation skills Displays solid knowledge of products and services to develop and present solutions.Must be able to adapt strategy to changing conditions Ability to effectively work independently as well as in a team environment Very professional  Approaches others in a tactful mannerReacts well under pressureTreats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or positionAccepts responsibility for own actionsFollows through on commitments. Must be able to travel on a frequent basis throughout territory
