Sales Area Finance Manager


Responsibilities


EMC's Global Financial Services is seeking a field-based Equipment Leasing Professional to support the Northern California Sales Team. The Area Finance Manager (AFM) is responsible for originating, negotiating, pricing and structuring a variety of equipment leases for EMC's customer base. This includes working with the direct and indirect sales teams to drive incremental revenue by analyzing the customer's IT infrastructure, quantifying the expense items and crafting financial solutions that justify a new EMC solution. The AFM will proactively meet with CFOs, Treasurers, Controllers and Procurement teams to understand their financial requirements and to develop creative financial solutions and leasing structures to meet their needs. The AFM will also leverage EMC's Brokerage Services to swap competitive storage equipment and to refresh older EMC technologies through asset swaps, equipment trade-ins and price discounting.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Manage the lease portfolio and drive incremental revenue by structuring early terminations, lease rolls, buyouts, rewrites and extensions
o Originate, negotiate and close leasing transactions in pursuit of an annual revenue quota
o Meet with Finance Executives of Fortune 1000 clients to understand their financial requirements and deliver financial structures that meet their needs
o Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to customers
o Participate in sales calls with the Account Executives
o Train the local sales organization in financial selling and financial structures
o Develop and maintain relationships with customers and selected local third party Lessors
o Identify and structure transactions to drive the return of older EMC and non-EMC Data Storage Technology



Experience and Education


SKILLS
Solid understanding of FASB 13
Expertise in financial structuring and modeling
Relationship-building skills
Sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables
Communication and selling skills
Problem solving skills
Responsiveness

Education Required: Bachelors (Non-Tech) or equiv, MBA a plus
Experience Required: 5 years in Finance and two of them in Equipment Leasing
