Salesman/Driver

This position  is responsible for solicitation for sales of SMC products and services, delivery of these products and services within the region. Communicate as an initial contact for any possible Capital Equipment sales opportunities to Regional Segment Sales Manager. At least, once a week drive a loop run between Norton VA and Brierhill PA facilities, subject to need.

 

Working in-conjunction with Norton and Brierhill facility manager, to sell, deliver, and pick-up parts as necessary.

Responsible for good economic up keep and usage of the route truck, fill out any logs, expense reports and safety inspections.

Maintain a consistent schedule of correct and complete customer sales reports, time sheets, return authorizations and any other required reporting.

Assist in-side sales and other warehouse personnel in inventory activities such as forecasting, physical inventory, including

gathering parts and the loading of your truck.

Be willing to assist customers and management in their requirements on a 24/7 basis.

Communicate any problems encountered to Facility Manager on after market issues and Regional Segment Sales manager on equipment sales, performance, support issues.
