Salesperson

Business Development Position: The Company sells various kinds of industrial components and parts, specifically large weldments, iron and steel castings, forgings, and parts made from machined tool steel.  Customers are primarily manufacturers of heavy equipment (construction, oil field, marine, etc.).  Products are generally made overseas (mostly in China).  The Company is looking for a salesperson to develop and maintain customer relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

 
Identify new potential customers and markets
Qualify and develop new customers
Maintain relationship and expand business with existing customers
Qualify new RFQ?s (commercially and technically)

 

Requirements

 
Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing).  Comparable experience possibly acceptable.  Ability to understand the technical aspects of mechanical components is necessary, including reading of drawings, understanding manufacturing processes, and having knowledge of quality documentation and practices
Experience selling industrial parts.  Experience in the Company?s primary product categories (large weldments, iron and steel castings, forgings, and parts made from machined tool steel) is preferred 
Existing relationships with customers that buy such parts is an advantage
Knowledge relative to low cost country sourcing relative to industrial parts is also an advantage.
