Job Description: As part of a Global Business Development Team, the Segment Manager will be responsible for developing strategies, business plans, tools, and communication to develop expertise and drive business growth in specific, key segments through TAC direct and indirect channels. Responsibilities include identification of segment opportunities in various regions of the world, analysis of business and technical barriers to entry, development of segment business plans, and support for P&L managers implementing business plans. Segment Manager will develop tools in support of sales and operations in the given segments. Additionally, the Segment Manager will develop communication plans, working with Corporate Marketing, for internal and external communication and marketing of segment capabilities. The segment manager will work with product marketing and business development to bring products and services to market that meet the unique needs of certain segments. Segment Manager will work collaboratively with regional general managers, sales managers, and marketing managers to design global segment programs that establish global presence, while maintaining flexibility for regional implementation.

 

Essential Skills: Qualified individual must possess demonstrable ability to develop strategic plans and execute on those plans. 5-8 years success in marketing and/or business development of technical solutions, with specific experience in segment or vertical marketing. Experience developing and/or selling services.

 

Key qualities for success include the following:

? Initiative and urgency, combined with focus on tangible results.

? Global experience and the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the corporation. High quality written and verbal communication skills.

? Ability to lead other successful individuals in a matrix environment.

? Customer focus and understanding of customer relationship selling process.

? 40% travel
