We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Senior Corporate Accounts Manager to join our team for the Midwest area.  This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a sales leader skilled at developing new accounts and establishing long-term business partnerships.

In this role you will have primary responsibility for:

 

?  Identifying and developing new accounts that will contribute to an assigned total gross margin.

? Develop ongoing prospects to establish long-term business partnerships through internal and external information sources.

? Identify decision makers in key areas of prospect, who will evaluate our program on its ability to reduce over all costs, to defuse the probability of the selection of a supplier, will be based on commodity pricing only.

? Develop a program to provide the necessary solutions through the establishment of strategic business relationships and identification of key areas to be addressed.

? Ability to evaluate and reach sound business decisions regarding the viability of prospects as they relate to the Company's business model and desired profitability.

?  Ability to evaluate the prospect's total operating profile and develop cost reduction solutions in an innovative manner.

 

Qualifications

?  Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.

?  Minimum of 5-8 years outside sales experience selling to major corporations or a minimum of 8 - 10 years demonstrated success in consultative problem solving sales with multiple value-added components.

?  Must possess product knowledge across a variety of MRO categories including fasteners, chemicals, electrical products, plumbing, welding, shop supplies, and industrial maintenance supplies.

?  Posses strong negotiating skills impacting overall contract negotiations and specifically key provisions pertaining to Warranty, Indemnification, Consequential Damages, etc.

?  Must possess excellent organizational skills, effective listening skills, high levels of presentation and negotiating skills and be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

?  Demonstrated ability to use personal productivity enhancing tools including laptops, spreadsheets, word processing, E-Mail and contact management software. 

?  Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a wide range of disciplines within each customer from end user to procurement managers, financial directors, plant managers and corporate or group senior operating managers.

?  Demonstrated successful experience with team selling and cross functional or matrix management structures.

?  Must possess working knowledge of financial systems including balance sheets, income statements, capitalization, budgets and modeling.  Additional capability with inventory forecasting and management systems including pull through programs and general logistics concepts is desired.

?  Must possess strong familiarity with technology tools designed to improve customer productivity and reduce operating expense including: Bar Coding, EDI, CMMS, Laptop Systems and Networks.

?  Must possess the ability to design, develop and write reports, proposals and pricing requirements.

?  Must have the ability and understanding to set sales plans, make forecasts and forecast profit margin trends
