Senior Marketing Representative

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB


The Sr. Marketing Representative provides effective in-house sales and marketing support to agents. Responsible for the daily management and business relationship between the Company and agents. Implements and monitors various sales programs and campaigns. Builds and maintains strong agent relationships in order to expand the shelf space of company products with each agent and increase sales. Works in partnership with agents to focus on proactive sales building in order to achieve and/or exceed sales goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 Assists the Marketing Manager in developing marketing plans for MAs and execution strategy. Makes proactive calls and visits to existing agents to strengthen relationships, find selling opportunities and gather competitive intelligence. Conducts regular quality meetings with producing or potentially producing agents. Identifies and develops top-producing agents. Develops strong relationships with agents, assists in the resolution of problems, and acts as key day-to-day liaison. Develops, trains, implements and monitors sales programs and campaigns within each agency. Develops marketing materials and campaigns to help motivate agents. Identifies service problems, communicates them to the appropriate internal staff, addresses and resolves the issue and communicates the resolution to agent. Accountable for profitable growth in assigned agency(ies)




EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a sales oriented agency position. In depth knowledge of automobile insurance products. Good understanding of the P & C and personal lines business. Ability to define and relate appropriate products to the specific needs of the agent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to coach and motivate sales agents. Customer focused; possess a demonstrated awareness of agents? needs, wants and requirements. Experience in building relationships with agents. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Products (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint)
