Senior Solutions Engineer

As a Senior Solutions Engineer with Verizon Business, you will be responsible to work as a team member to retire the Sales Objective.  You should be able to demonstrate technical expertise to customers  in an effort to become their trusted advisor. 

You will proactively earn the opportunity to become a participant in the customers technology planning sessions and be able to provide value, based on demonstrating technical knowledge, service orientation and customer satisfaction.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:


* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
* 2 years experience working in a technical pre-sales engineering position supporting the LAN/Equipment based technologies and/or integration of network services
* Must have the ability to demonstrate full understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP as it relates to LAN network topologies
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
* Must demonstrate a strong independent work ethic and the drive to succeed / Proven sales success
* Proficient in discussing and designing customer premise equipment based convergence solutions. (voice, video, data)
* Ability and willingness to broaden expertise to support carrier based WAN technologies in addition to existing LAN expertise.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:
* Masters degree in Business or Technological discipline
* Vendor certification (or equivalent experience) with one or more of the following: Cisco, Nortel, NEC or Alcatel
* Experience as a customer (non-vendor/provider)
