Sr. Scientist- Clinical

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (DCI)
Position Summary:
Primary functions will be to serve as technical and operations supervisor of a clinical testing lab, developing clinical methods to support marketing claims, communication regularly with product development personnel about study proposals and results, overseeing the design, execution and interpretation of human clinical studies.  These studies are core elements of product safety and efficacy profiles.  Projected studies will include claim support, antibacterial and product efficacy testing, research studies for new methodologies to support new advertising claims.

Responsibilities:
Work closely and engaged with corporate product development teams (R&D, Marketing, etc.) to develop and conduct screening testing methodologies for cosmetic product attributes and new product technologies.
Highly customer service oriented so product development groups feel supported and engaged in their clinical programs
In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
Consistently produces dependable and highly reliable results independently verifying the correctness of the results that are unexpected.  Thoroughly understands test methods and interpretation of results.
Applies in-depth knowledge of marketplace, products and trends, and participates in the development of future clinical testing strategies
Has high tolerance for uncertainty, enjoys working in fluid environments that demand creativity with new products and acquisitions
Assist in establishing a skin research program to develop and execute claim support strategies to differentiate our products from our competitors? products
Participates in outside associations affiliated with clinical research such as ASTM and Academy of Dermatology
Ability to train staff clinical testing skills including skin grading and understanding of clinical statistics
Assure all clinical testing is conducted using Good Clinical Practices

Requirements:
B.S. Degree
5-10 years experience in clinical study design and conduct preferred
Demonstrated computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Desire to work in a team environment
