Systems Engineer I

Job Description: While under close supervision, will design, develop methods for radiometric and optical equipment. Will apply electro-optical and radiometric techniques to the calibration of test systems. Will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative measurement techniques in a laboratory environment. Will perform data collection, data reduction, and data analysis and present findings. Will perform liaison duties between the Metrology organization and the Mechanical Engineering?s Optical Engineerng team.



Required Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of related experience with Infrared and Visible sensor calibration equipment; strong analytical skills, good technical writing skills, demonstrated ability utilizing Mathematica and Mapel; and good interpersonal skills. At a minimum, an Interim Secret clearance will be required to start.



Desired Skills:

Experience utilizing Mathcad, MatLab, Labview, Labwindows cvi. Active Secret Clearance


Degree: BS in Optical Sciences or Applied Physics.with an emphasis in Optics and Radiometry
