Manager of Distribution Planning

We currently have an opening for a Manager of Distribution Planning in our Supply Chain Services Department. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining models to analyze various parts of the Supply Chain. A qualified candidate will also be responsible for measuring, reporting and interpreting performance against various processes and operations to support the Distribution and Transportation organizations. The role will have influence over Distribution Center Field Operations and the execution and follow-through of projects impacting the DCs, Logistics and Transportation. Will also develop and maintain accurate models of the distribution, transportation and logistics network. Will use models to analyze various scenarios, options and ideas to improve the Supply Chain and make recommendations for long and short term strategies to support store and volume growth. May also model new business scenarios, major shifts in sourcing location or manufacturing, and changes to flow of goods. Will determine transportation options that result in optimum service levels to Stores. Some reporting and analysis will include: network costs, labor models, productivity, accuracy audit results, cube utilization, data integrity, slotting optimization and capital asset performance. Will also help to build labor models based on approved methods and procedures for job functions. Will also apply work measurement methodology to construct forecasts and planning models for distribution center management.


A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three to four years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or operations environment preferred. Intermediate experience in a role with heavy financial and analytical responsibilities is a must.
