Master Scheduler

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Scheduling sales orders, planning, changing, and executing schedules.  Interface with all departments within the organization to insure schedule success.  Follow the flow of materials from order through receipt, production, inspection, and shipping.  Prepare and issue status reports concerning current production and material.  Prepare and analyze supply chain plans relative to forecasts and supply chain strategy.  Prepare and chair problem solving and strategic meetings relative to inventory, master scheduling, and production operations management.  Develop and implement process improvements, reports, and metrics.  Manages master schedule to fulfill current or forecasted orders for manufactured products. 

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum of 5 years experience in production planning with a high-volume electronics manufacturer is required.  A thorough working knowledge of inventory control and processes is necessary.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong problem solving skills.  Must be competent with a PC to include standard word processing, advanced spreadsheets, access databases, and electronic mail applications.  Must have excellent problem solving skills.  Applicant must have thorough working knowledge of Strategic Management of Resources, Supply Chain Management, and Master Scheduling techniques.  Applicant must be a motivated, self-starter requiring little to no supervision.

 

Required Education: 

 

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required.  APICS CPIM and CIRM certifications are a plus.
