Receiving Supervisor

 The Supervisor, Receiving is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of merchandise delivered to the distribution center; and for the supervision of all staff engaged in these activities. 
Supervises unloading of merchandise form trailers, ensuring merchandise is being delivered to appropriate storage areas.
Supervises all staff engaged in the packing of merchandise; ensures compliance with company procedures and regulations.
Administers the training and safety programs and ensures that all related procedures are understood and followed.
Maintains statistical records and reporting.
Completes projects/tasks assigned by supervisor.
Ensures that physical inventory levels and shrinkage are kept within acceptable tolerances.
Counsels, motivates, and coaches associates.  Works with Human Resources on associate developmental issues.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a distribution environment (1 - 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred)
Thorough knowledge of materials handling equipment, methods, preferably in an automated facility
Developed human resource skills including counseling, hiring, termination, motivation, and enforcement of procedures
Established organizational and communication skills
