Senior Level Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

 

Major Responsibilities: 

 

Coordinates inventory receipts, shipments and production material movements based on area of assignment.

 

Ensures data integrity of system files by recording all movement transactions required.

(receipts, issues, location moves, etc.)

 

Performs cycle counts as required.

 

Pulls and packages material to support production,  customer orders,  shipments to other sites and suppliers.  Ensures timely delivery to designated area. 

 

Packages and puts away materials received into stocking locations.

 

Monitors supplies for area of assignment:  shipping, stockroom, receiving

 

Moves product as required using motorized forklift, hand dollies, hand lifts etc.

 

Communicates effectively internally and externally to support good working relationships, information flow and objectives.

 

Assists staff from other departments in resolving simple and routine issues.

 

Adhere to and enforce all administrative and materials policies and procedures along with other authorized memoranda.

 

Performs other duties as required to help meet departmental objectives.

 

Job Specifications:

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

(Include education, licenses, and certifications)

High School graduate or equivalent.  College courses in business or technical area preferred.

 

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and inventory movement. 

 

6-10 Years of experience in a shipping/receiving role.

 

Working knowledge of computerized inventory management and carrier systems.

 

Self motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision,  written and oral communication skills coupled with ability to interface efficiently with internal and external customers.

 

Must be experienced with online UPS and Fedex.

 

Must have very strong computer skills.
