Shipping/Receiving Clerk, II

Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, II in our Miramar, FL facility.

The successful candidate will:

Fulfill shipping and receiving requirements for parts and service departments. Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Assist RRNA and RRCM Broker to correctly classify all shipments inline with US Customs guidelines. Receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipments (parts, office supplies, equipment, etc) inline with RRCM and International policies and procedures. Verify quantity, weight and conformance of materials to stated identifications; log receipt of items on system, process freight bills, packing sheets and other documents; report materials shipped and bills of lading, post weights and shipping charges and routes to destinations. Determine methods for proper storage of spare parts and materials, considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover and floor loading capacity and required space. Will be required to select most economical and efficient common or contract carrier, such as airfreight, motor freight and ocean freight or courier service to transport materials, tools and equipment to and from customer, factory, subcontractor or other vendors. Within parameters determine routing and arranges for shipment, considering such factors as items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency and cost. Compile international and domestic freight rates and other charges for transportation services for external and internal customers. Make local deliveries and collection. Monitor condition of company vehicles and arrange service etc as required. Carry out cycle inventory checks. Maintain all records as per RR Quality Management System. Maintain clean and tidy work areas. General Building Maintenance.

Position requirements include:

High school graduate. Preferred 3 years relevant experience in a similar field. Driving License, Certified Fork Truck Operator, Basic Computer Skills. Results-oriented, organized, analytical and co-operative.
