Qualifications:
Applicants must have prior experience in the following areas:
Working in a shipping and receiving department/capacity
Familiarity with Purchasing/Receiving functions as relates to a warehouse environment
Computerized systems for material tracking and shipping
Barcode reading equipment and barcode label printers
Inventory counting and reconciliation
In addition to the above further experience within the computer industry is highly desirable for this position.
Job Description:
A responsibility of this position will be shipping and receiving equipment for the Network Engineering department. This equipment consists of PC?s, monitors and other communications related items and components. Must be a well-organized individual capable of accurately recording and tracking serial numbers on all equipment received and shipped. Occasional duties will include pick-up and delivery of materials at freight carrier?s facilities. All equipment is very fragile and must be packed to avoid any damage in transit. Employee should be able to lift at least 70 pounds and will also be required to help unload very heavy equipment (several hundred pounds) from trucks.
