Sourcing Specialist

Position HRH is currently recruiting a Sourcing Specialist for corporate office located in Glen Allen, VA.

 

Primary Functions

The Sourcing Specialist facilitates the procurement of goods and services to support all HRH branch locations, region offices and corporate headquarters.  The individual will optimize value for the company through the company?s procurement process.  A key function of this position will be to fully develop relationships between sourcing and the various field locations and region offices by providing value and driving cost savings.  The individual will develop strategic sourcing arrangements with suppliers and manage vendors with a focus on building field location compliance.  The individual will continuously improve the company?s procurement process by improving services, reducing cycle times and reducing total costs.

 

Responsibilities:
Develop on-going/measurable customer service metrics for end users and build strong relationships between field, sourcing and vendors.
Educate and train end users on ordering procedures and best practices for national programs.
Track and analyze usage and compliance for programs including: office supplies and equipment, furniture, shipping, print, hardware and software, travel.
Negotiate, track and analyze vendor Service Level Agreement. Follow up with vendors about non-compliance to SLA and ensure collection of any fees if appropriate.
Responsible for day to day purchasing activities: reviewing bids, tracking orders, resolving grievances.
Publish quarterly purchasing bulletin highlighting program changes, cost saving opportunities, vendor SLA performance and branch compliance information.
Work closely with Strategic Sourcing team in order to: Create a holistic picture of company spend; Achieve cost reduction targets; Modify workflow procedures; Develop procurement best practices; Develop RFP?s and evaluate results; Transition new acquisitions into current programs



Qualifications
Bachelor?s Degree in Business or related field preferred
Excellent communication skills



Experience

Minimum of five years experience in procurement with a strong focus on customer service
