The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership, guidance and daily management of the Global customs and compliance effort and process. APCs global reach requires a Senior Leader who can develop and implement a standard customs broker and compliance process worldwide, while managing through local requirements. Our global supply chain is completely dependent on the accuracy and consistency of customs compliance.








Requirements include :











Managing all aspects of import compliance including the rules of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule; entry rules, record keeping, assist, receiving logs and audits;







Understand, manage and guide the role of the import customs broker;






Facilitate and direct process improvement projects including service enhancements; cost reduction; delivery improvement;





Manage Harmonized Tariff Schedule for APC, insuring our parts are in compliance with the tariff;





Influence direction, success and scope of process improvement projects;





Develop and implement a Compliance scorecard;






Knowledge or export & import packaging and standards to improve quality and prevent damage;







Understand INCOTERMs








The Senior Leader will be required to work cross-functionally and internationally. The nature of APC demands that this manager exhibit patience and diplomacy in dealing with many cultures in order to drive process change and improvement.








Deliverables:




















Develop, implement and manage a global customs compliance process









Organize work and determine what is essential









Responsible for management of customs broker and all compliance to all WTO rules









Directly responsible for scorecard development and performance

Bachelors Degree and 9+ years of relevant Global Customs and Compliance Experience
