Strategic Buyer

This position is responsible for the most cost-effective use of Company funds to procure assigned material and services, support the material and information requirements of JLG to meet short and long range objectives through effective supply chain management. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated cost reduction experience, a working understanding of collaborative design practices, strong international buying background, an understanding of consignment, experience working with suppliers to improve quality and on-time delivery performance, as well as experience negotiating multi-year supply contracts. Thorough knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures is needed. This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Engineering and three to five years of practical purchasing experience. CPM is highly desired.
