Strategic Sourcing Travel Operations - Program Analyst-007XQ
Description The Strategic Sourcing - Travel Operations Program Analyst provides program support to a the Travel Operationsprogram within Ernst & Young. This individual is responsible for administering the processes, training, metrics and communications to support Travel program success. The travel program analyst is also responsible for implementing new processes as they relate to their program. This individual will interface occasionally with firm leadership and will continuously need to leverage strong working relationships with key internal constituents. This individual may oversee the management of a small program or may report to a program manager in support of larger, more complex programs.
Responsibilities
Establishes business relationships with key internal customers.
Communicates regularly with travel program users and provides customer service and problem resolution support regarding travel operations.
Assists in establishing key program metrics to measure program success and to identify areas of non-compliance.
Drives program compliance by identifying and resolving issues.
Manages small projects to implement new processes. Leverages project professionals for major initiatives such as replacing technology solutions. Process reengineering and six sigma methodologies may be utilized.
Develops training materials and ensures all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities in complying with the travel program.
Understands industry benchmarks and is an active member in professional organizations relevant to the program.
Works with supervisor in preparation of annual budgets.
The Travel Program Analyst receives guidance from their supervisor when changes to process or tools are being contemplated. This individual is expected to work with minimal oversight in their program support activities.
The Travel Program Analyst helps develop program strategy with their supervisor and is responsible for specific tasks in managing the program. This individual may have complete program ownership for smaller programs. Compliance to the program is key to the success and usually involves personnel throughout the firm understanding and utilizing tools and processes implemented by the program manager. Challenges may arise when business functions do not see the benefit and may not comply.
To overcome internal resistance to change, the senior program analyst operates through their supervisor. This individual is a subject matter expert in the program in which they support.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
* a bachelors degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience in the travel industry
* approximately 4-6 years of project management experience in the travel industry
* Proficiency in Sabre, Excel and Word
Knowledge and Skills
The Travel Program Analyst needs strong teaming, process management, problem solving and analytical skills to better align to all major internal customers and drive program success. This individual needs to understand trends in the major industries they support. This individual needs to have subject matter expertise in their program and the supporting tools, metrics and best practices.
